What's the deal with this AnnoyingOrange stuff? I know it's a website. AnnoyingOrange.com, but I don't get why it's a website. Is that the sum total of it. Is there a tv show or a book or a cartoon.
It's weird cuz I had no idea such a thing even existed and now there are Annoying Orange costumes for Halloween. How can there be costumes for something I hadn't even heard of. Am I that out of touch or are they crazy?
I don't really get it. It reminds me of that bit Conan O'Brien used to do. He may still do it. I don't know. He'd have famous peoples faces, but their mouth would be replaced with a crew member and they would say inappropriate and humorous things.
They do it on Spongebob as well. The pirate portrait that sings the theme song has the same 70's era technology. It was way cool back then. I guess it's kitchy now.
Annoying Orange has taken this whole concept a few steps further by also replacing the eyes and doing it on fruits instead of humans. Why fruit I wonder. And why the orange. Does the person who invented it actually find oranges annoying, pears not worthy of insult and apples vertically challenged? I'm just curious.
