This video shows you how to make great decorations on a budget! The following are three different pieces you can easily make with a friend or your kids to make this Halloween a little bit more fun or spooky:

For decorating the kitchen table or the snack table, set the scary mood with the flickering light of candles. To keep with the Halloween theme, you can use those leftover small pumpkins or squash as the candle holders. In order to do this, pull off the stems or puncture a hole in the middle if you need to, although there is usually a large enough groove to fit a thin candlestick in. These make great centerpieces and are appropriate to use through Thanksgiving.

The next decoration ideas are meant for outdoors. First, if you want your doorway to look extra spooky when some little Trick-or-Treaters come up, there is definitely a cheap and easy way to do it. First, grab a large black trash bag and some scissors. Next, lay the bag down horizontally and cut long jagged strips almost to the top. Make sure not to cut all the way through; otherwise, the bag will fall into more pieces than is necessary. Cut these strips throughout the length of the bag and voila! You have your very own scary witch's door—just hang the bag over the top of your doorframe, so when the wind blows, the bag moves in a creepy way.

The last decorative pieces described in this video were the tombstones. In order to turn your yard into a morbid graveyard, buy a bunch of cardboard or foam boards and cut them into rectangular shapes. Next, paint them gray or black with paint or spray-paint. To make them look more realistic, rub some dirt on top of them. Then, using white paint, come up with spooky or funny saying on the tombstones such as, "I told you I was sick." Finally, place the tombstones in random places in your lawn, each at varying depths. No one will want to walk up to your house before thinking twice!
