Today we are going to go doen the top 5 highest earning horror movie franchises of all time, can you guess which flick came in first place as the ULIMATE TOP GROSSING HORROR MOVIE FRANCHSIE?…and NO it was not kim kardashians wedding special. Without further ado, lets get this countdown started! Starting out with the number 5 spot- earning 455 million dollars we have A Nightmare on Elm Street. Started by mastermind Wes Craven, he brought on the infamous character Freddy Kreuger. This movie made kids everywhere afraid to sleep, because if Freddy appeared in your dream he would seek his revenge and take your life. Though I have to say, depending on the dream, it might be worth the risk. At number 4 we have Friday the 13th. Here is a classic horror movie that continuously makes its way back to the forefront year after year. This movie has been adapted into TV shows, novels, and sequels galore. Cashing in at an overall 465 million dollars, this flick killed it at the box office! At number 3 we have the Scream Franchise with 605 million. Now these are my personal favorite, because they are the perfect mix of scary and funny, and with its latest installment it's clearly not afraid to make fun of itself either.
