The first three downloadable characters for Mortal Kombat weren't entirely new — Rain and Kenshi were both in previous games, and Skarlet was in Mortal Kombat II, albeit as what amounted to a glitch. NetherRealm had been keeping the identity of the fourth character close to its chest. Today it finally revealed who the last of the bunch will be: Freddy Krueger, of A Nightmare on Elm Street fame, is joining the game's cast of fighters.
