So at 40 weeks pregnant, there's not a ton I'm up to right now. Projects are wrapped (for now), house is clean and organized, baby stuff is ready and in place...it's all a waiting game.
And because of the heat wave it seems we're all experiencing, my activity is kind of limited. I used to walk all the time, but now it's so hot, and I can only walk a little. So to get out and get moving, I decided to hit up some thrift stores in search of potential treasure.
I'm always on the lookout for accent chairs, little tables, lamps in need of some good TLC.
Well...I'm inclined to think that everyone had that idea over the weekend or the 4th because it seemed that every place we went only had the strangest things.
For instance, one place had quite a variety of portable toilet chairs. Sadly, I did not document them. But another place had a nice selection of iron pigs, faux dinosaur skeletons, and a particularly charming buffalo, which I did find to be slightly more...photogenic.
That's my pal Megan with the buffalo. They really hit if off.
I also came across this funny little cherubic lamp base. Good addition to the nursery??
I kid, I kid.
I did like these bottles. They'd be cool bud vases or something. But they were just stashed away on a collapsing shelf outside.
Anyway, it wasn't quite the thrifting adventure I had hoped for, and it didn't end in walking out a baby either, but it was kind of entertaining.
Hopefully my next post will involve a baby. If not, I can at least say it's likely it will not involve such strange garden decor or light fixtures.
Enjoy your Friday, friends!
