Awesome Shopping Trip « thedingleberry.net – Now With 90% More ...

Today I went to a costume store to get some ideas for my Halloween costume this year. I know that I posted several months ago that I was going to be Dildo Baggins for Halloween, which means that I will be dressing like Bilbo Baggins from Lord of the Rings and then carrying a bunch of dildos and attaching various phallic shaped things to my costume. Sadly, there were no adult Hobbit costumes in stock so it looks like I will have to make my own, which will probably be pretty easy. I also know someone at the costume store who told me that they may be getting a penis-shaped hat in stock that would go perfectly with my costume. The Mrs. wants to go along with my theme but so far we have been short on ideas. Only idea I had so far was for her to dress up like Gandalf and carry around a giant penis-shaped walking stick. I still have a couple months to put this together, but if you guys have any ideas I would love to hear them!

Anyway, while at the costume store I saw this Jesus puppet which kind of looks like Will Ferrell, I thought it was pretty awesome.

At least I think it is supposed to be Jesus, or it is Will Ferrell in a bath robe and sandals. I really am not sure.

After the costume store we went to a local thrift store which had plenty of tacky outdated clothes like the gems below:

I have no idea why anyone would give this away. Other than the fact that it probably gave them nightmares and they were no longer able to sleep in their own house knowing that this monstrosity was hanging in their closet. Does anyone really like clowns? I mean seriously? Is there anyone that doesn’t find them creepy as fuck?

I remember back in the 80′s shirts like this would always be accompanied by skin tight neon pink leggings or acid washed jeans. This should have been burned rather than donated.

Somebody went through all the trouble of attaching fringe to their pink t-shirt and then braided it with a bunch of decorative beads from the clearance bin at JoAnn Fabrics then just decided to donate it? And it is only being sold for $2?! All that hard work and dedication should be worth at least $2.25.
