Decorating the school classroom can be fun for both the teacher and their students. Take an hour a day to work on these, and before long, your entire classroom will be ready for the holiday with some classic Halloween decorations. The most classic of these decorations are the many types of ghosts that you and your students can create. They can draw a large ghost on poster board, with crazy eyes and goofy grins. You can then cut them out, and glue white crepe streamers to the bottom, that will flap about when they “fly”. These can be hung from the ceiling, while smaller ghosts can be made for the bulletin boards.
Next, other classroom Halloween decorations can include gravestones, dead trees and bats. To make the gravestones, use cardboard, with an edge folded at the bottom to use as a stand. Paint them grey, and use a toothbrush or sponge to add some black specks. Write funny sayings on them with markers, stand up around the room, and decorate with spider webs. Dead trees can be made out of real branches culled from the outside. You can prop several of them together in a bucket of sand or rocks, and string them with plastic pumpkins, witches and ghosts gotten from a party store. Lastly, bats can be made from poster board, painted black with yellow eyes. Cut them out, and string them onto coat hangers to display around the classroom.
