Funny Halloween: Madam Movie

Number 10: Super Heros – well sometimes

Okay, so this low on the list and that is because being a super hero can be lonely, nobody can know your secret identity and you almost always have some really traumatizing event making you become a super hero in the first place.

But now to the super stuff! (Sorry for the pun, I couldn’t resist.)

Being a super Hero is awesome because – well you are super! And another cool thing is that there are so many powers that you can have, that is one of the reasons that I love the X-men movies, they show all these different powers and how they are being used.

Super powers will always be an awesome job, even though it comes with some disadvantages and great responsibility.

Number 9: Nanny

Nannies come in many forms: magical, spy-like, old, young, as a singing nun, sometimes they are your Dad dressed as an old lady (which luckily does not happen that often) and many others. But every time your family needs a nanny it is because there are some deeper problems with the family, and only a nanny from the outside can help the children to get their parents back together, find a new mom, get their parents to spend more time with them, or just to make the parents realize that there is something more to life than jobs/money/hobbies.

In these movies it is never the children that are the problem, or it is in the beginning, but then we realize that it is the parents that are the root of all evil… or at least the problem.

The Nanny has the power to change lives, and is often blessed with a voice of an angle when she/he sings. The other thing is that it is always wonderful to have children around you (at least I think), and you really get to relive your own youth over and over again, or being like Mary Poppins you never grow old.

The very few awful Nannies there is, often very quickly gets replaced with one of the awesome ones.

So number 9 goes to the nannies, just because we know they are always there to help us and our families (but does anyone know how much a super Nanny is paid on a monthly basis?).

Number 8: Spy/agent – 007, and every other spy movie from the silliness of Austen Powers to Get smart to RED and MIB (yes this one counts as well)

(The man who will forever be known as James Bond)

The name is Bond, James Bond… do I need to say more? When you have this job you get cool cars, good looking ladies/ handsome men, awesome gadgets – that always come in handy (why is it that 007 never gets a gadget that he does not use in a movie), nice clothing – suits and pretty dresses, and most of all being awesome!

Not much else to say other than that it is always awesome to be both dangerous and irresistible.

And another little thing – the dream guy for a girl is some one we can change, he needs to be just a little bit dangerous, and therefore ready to be turned to the good side. But here is the thing, boys also want a dangerous girl, yet they don’t want to change, they just want to have their asses kicked (and I find that pretty funnyJ).

Number 7: Watchman at the Museum of Natural History in New York – Night at the museum

This is a really funny movie, and the sequel is not that bad. But the job includes some of my favorite things: history and humor. I like how many historical facts that are being told, and I think that the romance between Teddy and Sacagawea is pretty cute. Of course it is not easy to run a magical museum, but somebody got to do it. And I would love to do it!

Number 6: Adventurous Librarian/Archaeologist – Evelyn from The Mummy (1999), Indiana Jones, Les aventures extraordinaires d’Adèle Blanc-Sec (2010)

This would be my dream job. Since I love history and Indian Jones was my hero for the most of my childhood, I think this is the one for me. To clarify what an Adventurous Librarian/Archaeologist is let’s look at Evelyn from the Mummy series – she is the clumsy librarian with a hearth of gold, but with her head stuck in the books she never gets out in the real world, until the day she seizes the chance and go on adventures. What this job is all about is treasures and thrills, really this is the job for all the little boys and girls who want adventure, thrills and knowledge.

Number 5: Making Halloween (Halloween Town) – The Nightmare before Christmas

I didn’t grow up with the wonders of Halloween. Halloween is not a holiday in Denmark, but in my one glorious year in the US I met the spirit of Halloween… and I was never the same again!

Every year I celebrate Halloween, even when it just by myself or with my good friends Boris Karloff and Bela Lugosi.

And that is why I would love to work in Halloween Town; I think I would like to be either a vampire, a werewolf or the gill-lady from the black lagoon.

Halloween is the night of scary-fun and candy, and the idea that it could be every day of the year is enough for it to take the number 5 place.

Number 4: Being on the national Quidditch team – Harry potter and the Goblet of Fire

I am in no way in to sports; I think it is boring and just a waste of time. But if there was ever a sport that was undeniable cool it would be – Sword fighting! – But for some reason you don’t see movies about Sword fighting. So the other cool sport would be Quidditch, and that is why being on the Quidditch team is one of the coolest jobs in movies.

Just the fact that you are able to ride on a broom and be famous in the Wizard World is just a little more awesome.

Number 3: Mad scientists – 30 and 40 universal movies

Picture this: a tower filled with electrical gadgets, bottles with elixir in them. But most important – you are wearing a long white lab coat! Yes, the oldest job on the list started in the 30´s and 40´s with all the monster movies that came out, and you could always be certain of the monster getting away and going on a rampage through town. That is of course a downside to this job, but besides that, you are able to make monsters, wear the fabulous lab coat, and of course, most importantly, you are required to evil laugh a lot and say such memorable movie lines as “IT IS A LIVE!”. Saying that makes it all worth being a mad scientist, being able to go MUHHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAA, whenever you like it.

Number 2: Building planets – The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy

Say what you want about this movie, but for a person who read the first 3 books, I actually like the movie. It was funny and was just as imaginative and off as the book. I liked how the Guide book was used – and it is always awesome to hear Stephen Fry’s voice in a movie.

There are two jobs that I think is competing for second place: Writing for The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy or building planets. Well I think that Planet Building wins!

I love the character of Slartibartfast, and how he love making fjords – and won a price for the one he made in Norway. Building planets happens on the planet of Magrathea, where rich people can have a planet costume designed and they come in all sizes and shapes. Just the though of being able to make something as big a planet – and basically being able to make life, since planets have life on them, is very cool.

Well this is an awesome job, but just one tops it – and that’s why it is time for the number one job:

Number 1: Being a Jedi Youngling/Padawan/Knight/Master – Star Wars

Lots of reason why this is the best job:

1) You are able to use the Force

2) You are very skilled in acrobatics

3) You have a Light Saber! – The coolest weapon ever!

4) You have mind control powers

5) You are fighting for the greater good, and have a very good chance of winning most of the time.

When you grow old you will instead be wise – and sometimes you will be wise even before you grown old (Talking about Qui-Gon Jinn).

The Jedi knights are just awesome, and the universe that they live in is just awesome, and their powers are awesome – awesome, awesome, awesome!!

So yeah, I would be a Jedi in a heartbeat, but my mind control powers are not really working yet.. But one day! One Day!
