AUDIOBOOK REVIEW: Back in February I shared with you a few tidbits from this wonderful holiday collection. With the true Holiday Season now upon us I thought it only appropriate to revisit this one since it contains not only Valentine material, but also Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and just about every other holiday you can find on the calendar. In this anthology of holiday goodies, the husband and wife team of Lorie Kellogg and Joe Bevilacqua are at their all time silliest.

Of all the holidays represented in The Best of Cartoon Carnival Volume 2 – The Holiday Specials , Joe and Lorie devoted more time to Halloween than any other. Hmm, why is that? Is it because they can act as weird as they want on Halloween without getting funny looks? Is it because they can finally take off their masks and run wild? Just kidding guys, but seriously Halloween is one of the most fun holidays we have and it’s an especially exciting time for the kids, which is what Cartoon Carnival is all about.

Among the classic sugary Halloween treats in this volume you’ll find the famous episode with Bugs Bunny and Witch Hazel, an episode of “The Flintstones” where Fred and Barney visit a mad doctor, and a spooky episode of “Super Snooper & Blabbermouse”. You’ll also hear from old friends like Quick Draw McGraw, Crazy Coyote and Snagglepuss. And the whole Halloween Spooktacular is hosted by Wilford Gra-ves, who sounds mysteriously like Joe Bevilacqua. It’s two hours of creepy Halloween fun!

And of course that’s just the beginning. As mentioned above, this collection features material from every holiday you can think of including Valentines, President’s Day, Independence Day, and more. In all there’s almost eleven hours of holiday silliness.

You can also check out Joe Bev and the gang every Saturday, starting at 2:30 pm ET / 11:30 am PT, "The Joe Bev 3-Hour Block" includes radio comedy, classic jazz, radio drama and documentary, starting with The Comedy-O-Rama Hour, then The Jazz-O-Rama Hour and The Joe Bev Experience following.
