We didn’t think there was that much to laugh about when it comes to entering an arena with a load of other young’uns and trying to bump them all off one by one before any of them shoot an arrow through your neck. Turns out that it’s an absolute hoot though, according to Josh Hutcherson, and if anyone knows, it's probably him.
Josh Hutchy Hutcho has admitted that when it came to showing off his crucial survival skills as Peeta Mellark, he found the whole ‘hiding from murders’ thing pretty funny. We love a bit of face paint, but this might be taking it a bit far.
Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, Josh confessed that the scene when Peeta uses his amazing camouflage skills to blend into the trees, was a right laugh to film, and didn’t quite transfer properly from the serious scene in the book, to the big screen.
“That's one of those things about the jump from a book to a movie”, he admitted.
"The camouflage of Peeta in the book is not funny, but then when you have me with clay on my face, lying there half dead, and I turn my face to the camera - it's so laughable. It's impossible not to laugh."
We'd say it's a pretty good example of Peeta's MANLY good looks, that we still wanted to snog him even when he was dressed up as a bit of shrubbery. It probably wasn't his hottest look, but we love a bloke who can be at one with nature. And one who's good at Halloween costumes.
