The Kimtu Cookhouse Theater in Willow Creek was packed on Saturday, October 26 for the second performance of Halloween Stew put on by the Dream Quest Drama Club.

The night’s entertainment was a stew of scary Halloween tales mostly written by Linda Lucido, and directed by Libby Pinto and Karla Robb in a small theater deep in the pitch-black forest.

The TRT play reviewer’s clear favorites among the tales were The 18th Hole which revolved around a game of golf and a human who helped aliens find vegans to eat, and a second food-themed Halloween story.

Lunch at the Roadside Diner is about a couple who find themselves trapped in a fake roadside diner, which turns out to be the alien equivalent of a lobster tank where diners can look in at their soon-to-be-food.

The performances by the 19 youths and 6 adults were great, and the audience looked like they had a great time enjoying the sometimes creepy and sometimes funny tales.
