the peacock: leo’s libational dessert

peacock4

pavanthis dessert is easy to make and elegant to serve. A perfectly formed scoop of sorbet floating in a sea of spirit. served in your finest crystal, of course. meet, THE PEACOCK.

in this case, the sorbet is citrus and the spirit is PAVAN: A muscato grape liqueur with a hint of orange flower water. i’m not sure which is better: the exotic muscato flavor, the beautiful floral fragrance or the exquisitely designed bottle. it’s a toss up. what’s not a toss up is PAVAN’s ability to please a wide range of palettes. this liqueur’s fruity, floral, pleasing sweetness marvelously compliments the zesty, citrusy ice… making THE PEACOCK a crowd pleaser. just like leo.

PAVAN is a leo, through and through. (the name translates to “dance of the peacock”). not only is this spectacular bird a leo, whose grand energies are obvious in its (cock)tail feathers. but the muscato grape thrives in sun, also making it a leo. finally, we have a hint of spanish orange flower water, and because oranges are round and orange like the sun, that’s a leo too. (the sun rules the sign of leo).

the beautiful bottle is the color of irridescent feathers and has a gold peacock emblazoned on the front. When the bottle is empty it is a gradated blue color. there is actually no yellow or green at all. but when the bottle is full, a sort of optical illusion takes place and the yellow-hued liquid mixes to create shimmering blues and greens. it’s kind of Funny, because like a peacock feather, i just can’t throw it away. I reuse my bottle in the kitchen for olive oil which gives that nice PAVAN peacock effect perfectly. Cheers!
