Walls Within Walls
By: Maureen Sherry
Walls Within Walls is a book in which the Smithfork family is made up of 2 boys and 2 girls. One day, Patrick the youngest boy found a painting behind the wall and from then on the Smithfork kids except the baby girl had been trying to find clues on what it was and their apartments history. The Post family used to live there and now the daughter of Mr. Post (Eloise Post) lives in the building.
This story takes place in the Smithfork apartment in Manhattan. I liked that Mr. Post left clues that lead to clues that helped them realize where to find more clues. I didn’t dislike anything.
My favorite character was Eloise Post because she was brave, very wise, funny, nice and kind. She also understands where people are coming from.
The main character was Eloise Post. She changed from the beginning of the story to the end because in the beginning she wasn’t confident in herself and in the end she was very confident in herself and she made some friends.
I would not recommend this book to a friend because at one point it was really boring. I would give it a ⅖.
