17. Jetpack Joyride (Free)
As its name states, Jetpack Joyride lets you float endlessly on your handy jetpack through an underground complex full of danger, obstacles, and lots and lots of coins. As with all mobile runners, your main objective is to stay alive for as long as possible, and even if you get hit and fall off your jetpack, you still have a chance to survive on foot if you’re good enough. Of course, when your run does come to an end all those coins you picked can be used to purchase power-ups, costumes, and score multipliers that make the next wild joyride a bit easier to handle. Laser beams that surround you, incoming missiles, and lots of electric barriers provide a frenetic experience that keeps things fresh the longer you last. You can even hop into special powersuits or mechas that make running over scientists all the more fulfilling. The amount of unlockables, a unique mission system, and the drive to beat your last score will no doubt keep you coming back for more.
