Laurie Metcalf stars in “The McCarthys”

Boston sports fans can be loud and crazy. Arthur McCarthy’s (Jack McGee) family is no different with the exception of his youngest son, Ronny (Tyler Ritter), who is gay and not that into sports. Wanting to get away from all the sports craziness revolving around his family, Ronny moves to Rhode Island. But Ronny’s dad has other ideas and gets Ronny to change his moving plans by offering him the position of being his assistant high school basketball coach.
The McCarthys also stars Jimmy Dunn as Sean, Joey McIntyre as Gerard, Kelen Coleman as Jackie and Laurie Metcalf as Marjorie.
The McCarthys premieres Thursday, October 30 at 9:30pm on CBS.
