For those with cancer, chemo is usually a necessary evil. The treatment will help to cure the disease, but it also wreaks havoc on the body.
One of the most common complaints is that it makes the patient’s hair fall out.
One amazing grandmother came up with the best way to cope with her hair loss: She knit herself a bright orange wig.
Her granddaughter, Megan Shone, tweeted her grandmother’s Facebook status, and it got over 13,000 retweets from users complimenting the 71-year old’s awesome knit wig.
The woman, Rosemary Capitolo, explained she “thought it would be a hoot” to wear the wig at a crazy hair Halloween event hosted by First Tee/LPGA Girl’s Golf, which she volunteers for.
You’ve got to admire her sense of humor in the face of such a difficult situation. What a trooper.
