Today we went out and finally bought Miss Katie a water table. We first picked one out at Target - a nice, yet simple, Step2 water table. Next, we had to make our way to the local Toys 'R Us for some baby fencing to keep Miss Katie off the fireplace hearth as well as keep her on the back deck. While there, John spied the Little Tikes Pirate Ship water table. Of course, it had more things to play with (which is funny as that was a reason to get the simpler one at Target to begin with - it had less things to play with!), and the boys might want to play with their little sister if we bought the pirate ship.

So, a quick return trip to take back the first water table, and we are now the proud owners of a pirate ship themed water table. While at Toys 'R Us, we also decided to buy a tiny baby pool - it's only about 30" in diameter and can hold roughly 2" of water; just right for Miss Katie. The go-in-the-bathtub Cabbage Patch Kid was an added bonus in Miss Katie's mind (she is obsessed with baby dolls and stuffed animals). The boys, plus one of our neighborhood friends, had a blast putting the pirate ship together; of course, when they finished, they had to try it out!
