Instructions:

Cut a rectangle of paper about 3 inch…

This really is among my favorite Halloween projects for children. It’s simple and fast, can be done with an audience if necessary, and is an excellent solution to practice cutting and fine motor skills with youngsters. Older kids can allow their imaginations dominate and produce some really wild spiders!

You will need:

Black report

Scissors

Stuff or sticky-tape

Googly eyes (optional) or scraps of paper and pencils

Instructions:

Cut a rectangle of paper about 3 inches by 3 1/2 inches. Fold the small side down about an inch to create a crease, then start again.

Turn the paper so that the crease is horizontal, then slice the paper in 7 straight lines up to the crease to generate ten spider’s legs. For younger kids, lure the lines for them to apply cutting on. For older kids, show them how to make the initial cut in the middle, dividing the area below the crease in to 2 halves. Then demonstrate to them how to divide each half again to make quarters, then the quarters to make eighths. There’s you should not be too accurate.

Now cover the spider around the child’s hand and secure with sticky-tape or glue. Eliminate the spider again and enhance - both with scraps of paper or with googly eyes. Set right back on the hand and bend the legs into form or curl them around a pencil.

Variations:

Hang the spiders up! Simply cut a length of black string (wool) and add inside the mind of the spider with a small little bit of sticky-tape.

Make smaller types of the lions to decorate the ends of Halloween pens.

Cover little spiders around straws to decorate your Halloween table! Make some bigger lions and scatter them across the dining table as well.

Cut a little slit on each side of the spider’s head and insert a name card to turn these lions into crazy place indicators!

Wrap a black pipe cleaner across the head of the spider to offer a hairy result, when the human anatomy of the spider has been created but before decorating. The protruding conclusion of the pipe cleaner may be curled right into a hook shape, helping to make the index an easy task to hold from cabinets, the tops side, and other creepy places! Stick googly eyes along with the pipe cleaner.
