SINGAPORE – This year, readers can tell their partners exactly what they mean to them, at no charge, in Singapore Press Holdings’ CATS Classified Valentine’s Lovelines.
For the first time since the inception of this campaign, readers can have their dedications to their other half published for free in The Straits Times or Lianhe Zaobao. They are free to express their love, commemorate their wedding anniversary or even apologise to their partner.
Submissions of up to 50 words are free. For those who desire longer messages or to include photographs in their dedications, normal advertisement charges will apply. For such paid advertisements, advertisers may also choose to have their ads printed in full colour for an additional 30 per cent of the total advertisement cost.
In addition, all entries that have a ‘funny’ element will automatically be entered for a contest titled “My Funny Valentine”, this year’s Lovelines theme. The theme was chosen because it touches on the importance of humour in a relationship. CATS Classified hopes to inspire readers to share what they find most amusing and lovable about their partner, as well as their funny love stories – in no more than 50 words.
The top two submissions of the “My Funny Valentine” contest will win a romantic couple’s package to W Singapore, a brand-new hotel at Sentosa Cove. The package will include a night’s stay at the hotel’s Marvellous Suite, an indulgent experience at Away spa, and a delightful meal at Skirt, W Singapore’s grill restaurant.
Readers can send in their submissions adhering to the theme “My Funny Valentine” by logging on to http://www.cats.com.sg/lovelines or writing to Valentine’s Lovelines 2013, Locked Bag No. 10, MacPherson Road Post Office, Singapore 913486, by Feb 6, 2013. Non-thematic dedications can be sent through http://www.cats.com.sg/lovelines as well.
Each entry must be accompanied by the name, age, gender, NRIC number, address and contact number of the person submitting the dedication, as well as the publication of their choice (i.e. The Straits Times or Lianhe Zaobao).
The two winning dedications and other selected entries will be published on Feb 14, 2013.
