This is very late, but never mind.
So, last Sunday Sel, Moose, Luke, Ben and Pash came down to my house for a BBQ to celebrate Sel's birthday. The BBQ itself was a disposable one, but it cooked the burgers so it did it's job. We ate outside, but moved inside to play a surgeon simulator, which was so hard. We all had a go and none of us could successfully perform a heart transplant. Shameful.
Before it got dark we all went for a walk around Calne and decided to find some Geo-caches. I was aware of the thing, but never tried it. For those that don't know there are lots of containers scattered around the country and you find them using GPS or a compass. You follow the coordinates. We managed to find 2 out of 4 which wasn't bad. One of them led us off the cycle path and down a dirt path that led to a clearing which contained various beer bottles and a lot of ash. Weird. According to my dad, the police tend to chase people out of there. I wonder why.
We went home and watched Megamind which was surprisingly good and funny.
The next day we headed down to Bristol Zoo, which was nicely sign posted. Although taking two cars meant Sel, Moose and I arrived before the boys. There was some bad communication...on there end.
This was my first visit since 2005 and from what I could see, not a lot had changed, although they did have these model dinosaurs everywhere. And we couldn't go in and see the Gorillas, :( But overall it was a really good day. We managed to see pretty much everything and we were only there for the afternoon. I bought a cuddly Capybara. Had to be done. I also went through the bat enclosure, though I didn't hang around. I think it's cool that they have things like that, but I'm really not a fan of bats.
So, yeah that was Sel's birthday. Great time.
Other stuff has happened this week, but nothing very interesting. I may write about that tomorrow.
