A few days ago as I was getting ready to tidy up my studio I looked around and decided I need some extra workspace (as my husband plans to work with me soon) my desk isn’t big enough for the two of us. So I jumped on Craigslist found two Ikea tables for $10 each (Score!) and I planned on setting them up and getting back to work. Well one thing led to another and I decided my studio needed a mini makeover and those new tables needed painting. Black is definitely not a fun color and it had to go. I was determined to get started and get the job done.
As I began, things, random things popped out from all over the place and after a couple hours it seemed like I was moving into a new house. There was crap EVERYWHERE!
I tried to keep cool and focus on the task at hand. I started in my studio and was slowly pushed out into the living room, hallway and my kitchen. I took a deep breath and kept working. Finally, I just couldn’t anymore. I was so overwhelmed by so much crap!
Honestly?!?! Where did it all come from?!
*Sigh
With a clean living room and kitchen I sat my bum on the couch and clicked on Hulu. I happened upon Moone Boy and finding Chris O’Dowd quite funny I gave it a go. Hilarious!!
“Ever wanted to be the imaginary friend of an idiot boy in the West of Ireland? Me neither. But there you go.”
I’m debating finally subscribing to Hulu just to keep up with the show. Haven’t quite made up my mind yet.
Even though I’ve made progress around the house and studio and still have a long way to go. i honestly have half a mind to toss all the ‘junk’ in a box and kick it to the curb (monthly pickup this week) never to be seen or heard of again. I just can’t do it though, mostly because I’m afraid of tossing ‘junk’ that’s not really junk.
Life would be easier if I had me an army of minions at my disposal….and a bit more fun.
