HI everyone! Do you have a favorite room in your house? Lindsay from White Buffalo Styling Company is hosting a fun series and asked us to share our favorite room in our homes!
Welcome if you are coming over from Simple Stylings!
My favorite room is my kitchen, though that might be quickly replaced by my family room in the next month!
I wanted to share with you how our kitchen looks on a daily basis minus the sink full of dishes and junk piled on the island .
We first renovated our kitchen on a budget in 2010. I can’t believe it’s been 4 years already! Our wood counter tops are still amazing and have held up wonderfully after 4 years!
We recently swapped out the converted bathroom cabinet island for a vintage workbench so we had more prep space.
I remember being afraid to paint our dark cabinets white and now I am so happy we did it!
I love how the light comes in through the window in the morning.
The sink light was a converted flea market find.
Like I’ve said before, every home needs one pig creamer. I love changing out little fun things on the window sill.
And I am never without two of my favorite kitchen products!
The Counter Safe Spray by
Murchison and Hume in Original Fig
It smells amazing!
I like to use what I have as decor.
The stacked cutting boards get regular use and hide an outlet.
I also like to re-use these cute little jelly jars for sugar.
I recently moved my bottle rack onto the island for easy mug access and I think they make a pretty display.
This way they get used too.I like drinking out of cute mugs in the morning. I might need to start the “one in one out” rule soon.
I had found these vintage cutting boards at the thrift store and I have a special date stenciled on them.
And I found this cute sign at Homegoods a few weeks ago and I knew it needed to come home with me! It was perfect!
Thank you so much for taking a tour of my favorite room! Head on over to one of my favorite blogs Number Fifty-three.
