The actor’s moniker has inspired the deliciously silly video “(I Wanna) Channing All Over Your Tatum.”

Who knew that Channing Tatum’s name would become a pop-culture touchstone?
Indeed it has, thanks to the song performed by him and White House Down co-star Jamie Foxx. The video for (I Wanna) Channing All Over Your Tatum features Miley Cyrus, Olivia Munn and a whole lot of nonsensical lyrics.
“That song is nuts. He’s got to live with it the rest of his life,” says Foxx.
The first version of it appeared on Jimmy Kimmel’s Oscar special.
“Jimmy Kimmel’s people wrote the first one and we all collaborated on the other song. We all pitched in. It’s funny, that stuff. He’s cool, too. He embraces it. A lot of times you don’t see celebrities embracing (silliness). It’s a good time,” says Foxx.
Nothing was really planned and as with the best bits, it evolved somewhat organically. “It just sort of happened the night of the Oscars. And we ran with it. After, we were like, ‘That was fun,’ and it worked so well. I went to Jamie’s house and we worked on a real song,” says Tatum.
It’s all thanks to Tatum’s “magical” name, says Foxx.
And now, concedes a very good-humored Tatum, “Everyone is talking about it. (On the Today show), Hoda was like, ‘Would you Hoda all over my Kotb?’ I’m going to let ya’ll play with that one or I’ll get in trouble,” he laughs.
