There is a reason this one is a classic, and still to this day it is still worth watching. I’m not one to debate the merits of the original vs. the remakes or the sequels, but this one just does so much right and is entertaining all the way through.

I LOVE THIS MOVIE! It is filthy, juvenile and a ton of dumb, but just great and keeps getting better as the movie goes on. There is a great parody of beach movies mashed with a parody of Twilight that fits big, hairy gay men in it! A giant sperm! Hitler musical with a Jewish Frankenstein’s Monster! Watched it when it came out and it was even better with a second watch!

This movie has aged really well, and even as self-referential and pop culture obsessed the movie it is it never struck me as stuck in that time. Sure, not all the gags (like Freddy as the janitor) really were that funny, but other parts had me cracking up. Plus hey, you can never go wrong with Matthew Lillard!
